PDG-NT Pty Ltd are a local Indigenous owned and operated company located in Borroloola operating since 2016 after being converted from Pandanus Development Group (Partnership) 2014-16. Locally known as Pandanus Mob, we have been employing local Indigenous people on a casual basis for the past 2.5 years, contributing to the local economy while promoting community benefits of local employment. We have done this through the engagement of local contracts with various entities within the local labour market while facilitating relevant training opportunities with various locally and Nationally recognised RTO’s.
As a key commercial local Indigenous entity, we are keen to embrace the opportunities that exist in the upcoming Housing Development Projects taking place in both Borroloola and Robinson River, particularly within the NAPARI Housing Infrastructure Program.
As a developing labour provider, we acknowledge the need to engage expertise with well-established trade entities. We approached Shalone Nominees and Underlock Property Maintenance to be a part of this process. Both entities are well-regarded throughout remote areas of Western Australia and the Northern Territory (and Nationally) and have a great deal of hands-on experience in working with Indigenous groups and communities. We are keen on contributing to the development of a local Indigenous workforce, equipped to carry out housing refurbishments, repairs, and maintenance.
We also plan to engage another local Indigenous owned and operated trade entities throughout the Northern Territory with ties to the Borroloola and Barkly regions.
